As a specialist tour operator we are very conscious that we should not destroy the very places to which we send our clients and from where our livelihood is derived.
This year once more we made a contribution to the Laona Project and Cyprus Conservation Foundation, an enlightened effort originally sponsored by the Friends of the Earth and funded by the European Commission and Cypriot supporters. Centred on the Akamas National Park, an area of natural beauty at the far western tip of the island, the Laona Project seeks to encourage the populations of participating villages to conserve the environment and restore village properties to accommodate the more discerning tourist. Any such properties featured in this website are marked. We hope this will encourage visitors, provide local employment, help reverse the current population flow out of the region, and maybe prevent the more unsightly developments.
