Arsos is one of the largest wine-producing villages on the island of Cyprus. Built on the slopes of Laona Mountain, the village is 1092 meters above sea level with views over the Diarizos river valley and the sea beyond. The village is known for the hospitality of its inhabitants and especially for the cooking prowess of the housewives who specialise in many traditional Cypriot sweets derived from grape juice such as Palouze and Shoudjiouko.
