Located in the Akamas hills between Polis on the north coast and Paphos on the south, this small, pretty village of about 100 inhabitants is 15 kilometres (20 minutes drive) from either. Pano Arodhes was originally a farm of the Knights Hospitalers of Rhodes. There are several small cafes and a provision store. Many excellent tavernas serving local dishes can be found in the neighbouring villages of Kathikas and Droushia, a few minutes drive away.
