One of the prettiest villages on the island and pictured on the old Cypriot £1 note. It used to be known as Little Paris. The village is a network of attractive, stone built houses bordering narrow alleys and surrounded by a rich natural environment of wild vegetation and herbal plants. There is a coffee shop and the Platanas Taverna located in a square shaded by a 100 year old plane tree (just outside the village). The Rural Museum of Gavriel and Eleni is a must. Larnaca is 30 minutes drive away as is Limassol. Governor’s Beach is a 15 minute drive and a 10 km nature trail leads to nearby Lefkara.
